Identifying the Type of Glass

For glass repair, a technician will seal the area around the damage and use an injector tool that cycles between vacuum and pressure to infuse a clear, curable resin into the outer glass layer. The new pane is then installed with the same adhesive and glazing compound as used in the original window, and glazing points are inserted into the frame to hold the new glass in place. Finally, a bead of latex caulk is applied around the edge to seal and protect the frame.
